Canada to levy anti-dumping and countervailing duties on rebar from China

Canadian International Trade Tribunal ruled that the rebar from China, South Korea and Turkey has not done substantial injury but posed injury threat to local rebar producers and thus decided to levy anti-dumping and countervailing duties on the rebar imported from those countries.

According to the final ruling of Canada Border Services Agency, the anti-dumping duty rate for rebar import from China is 41% and the countervailing duty is CAD89.71/tonne. To be specific, the anti-dumping duty rate for Shiheng Special Steel is 17.1% and the countervailing duty is CAD2.49/tonne.
